Amita Maru
I am a local Artist in the town of Collingwood. I love to work with all sorts of gemstones and semi-precious beads to create my hand- crafted wired wrapped jewelry.
I also like to create Art pieces using Wires to reflect the beauty of Nature.
Roger Natesumukiza
I am a handcrafted artisan specializing in traditional African-inspired products made from natural and sustainable materials such as sisal fiber, wood, leather, and beads. My work blends functionality with cultural storytelling, focusing on durable, eco-friendly, and visually distinctive designs that celebrate African heritage. For today’s presentation I have chosen to offer products made from sisal fiber and traditional Imigongo artwork created using natural cow dung.
Millie Top
Millie Top has lived the longest part of her life in The Netherlands. It is here she found her love for art. For about 8 years she took courses and painted in the evening hours.
After moving to Toronto in the spring of 2013, she took multiple art courses at the AGO and in 2016 she did a full art school year at Central Tech (Adult Art Programme).
In 2017 she moved to Berkeley where she would be closer to nature and all its beautiful seasons and colors. She joined Studio XX in 2019 and has been training at Peter John Reid’s Masters Class since 2022.
Guest Artist Schedule
About The Guest Artist Program
The Guest Artist program at the Owen Sound Artists’ Co-operative is a great way participate with our group. Monthly, we host three artists in a dedicated spot in our gallery. This program is extremely popular and we have long waiting lists! We are hoping to accept more guests monthly in the future. When we are looking for new members, we often look at the list of past guest members.
How To Apply
Our Legacy Gallery Committee juries work submitted monthly, and if the work seems to be a good fit with our establishment, a month is determined with the input of our membership member. We ask potential guests to fill out a guest artist’s application. Please plan to bring work in for jurying two to three days before the monthly committee meeting and arrange to pick up the next day. (Contact the store manager for details on the monthly date).
A good representation of your work must be submitted and appear as it would for sale and display in the store, i.e. all paintings, drawings must be titled, framed and/or glazed and ready for hanging. All work must be intended for sale. No more than 6 items please. Any relevant information regarding working methods, materials and pricing should accompany your work along with a brief artist’s biography or resume. When choosing you pieces, think of a body of cohesive work, rather than all the different styles or disciplines you practice.
