Largely self-taught, Paul Mondoux is a figurative artist who paints portraits and landscapes that are both visually familiar and wholly unique.

What Paul aims for in his artwork is to illustrate beauty in all its forms, evoking a sense of recognition that leads to joy. Working in acrylics, colour and light are the main characteristics in his paintings.

Paul Mondoux is a Southampton, Ontario based artist. Graduating with a Fine Arts degree from Concordia University in Montreal, Paul’s career was first spent as an Art Director in large global advertising agencies and then as a freelance illustrator.

Paul is always looking for the challenge in a painting- how water, wood, skin, etc. are to be rendered.

-A different perspective or a different view of a familiar subject is apparent in his work. He lists as his influences and inspiration William- Adolphe Bouguereau, John Singer Sargent, Malcolm Liepke and Nick Alm.
