I have been making functional pottery for over 40 years.
Throughout those years I have had many instructors who have taught me how to throw a functional pot. Some have taught me how to adorn my work. Every one of them has challenged me to question, to search and to try harder.
I work with earthenware clay that is carved and intricately hand painted with underglazes before being bisque fired. A clear glaze is applied and then re-fired. All my work is functional and made to be used. It is food and dishwasher safe.
